Get to Know Dr. Tamara Biary

Dr. Tamara Biary is a board-eligible endodontist with advanced training in root canal therapy and endodontic microsurgery. She enjoys making each visit calm, positive, and stress-free while providing the highest level of care. Dedicated to lifelong learning, she works closely with referring doctors and stays current with the latest advances in endodontics.
Why I Became an Endodontist
As a research scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Biary grew a passion for evidence-based care and scientific inquiry. Combining this with a desire to help others, she pursued dentistry and specialized in endodontics.
My Educational Background
Dr. Biary earned her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Biology from Wellesley College. She completed her Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, and Advanced Education Certificate in Endodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She was a Tufts Dean’s Research Scholar and is a part-time clinical faculty member in the Department of Endodontics.
Dr. Biary was awarded the Tufts Alumni Association Award for Clinical Excellence in Endodontics, the Quintessence Award for Research Achievement, and the Massachusetts Dental Society & Eastern Dentists Insurance Company Matthew Boylan Award Scholarship. She is also a member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association.
My Life Outside of the Dental Office
Outside of work, Dr. Biary enjoys biking, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends. She loves traveling and exploring new cities, a passion she has had since she flew for the first time as an infant!
